  • Submitted by: Sharon Dowey, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 19 October 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01725

That the Parliament salutes the selfless efforts of Ayr residents who have rallied around those affected by the explosion in Kincaidston on 18 October 2021; recognises the generosity of those involved in the response effort, including local residents, business owners, emergency service workers, community groups and others; appreciates their swift response and the outpouring of support from the community regarding the incident; notes that so many emergency supplies were received within a few hours that South Ayrshire Council had to put out a public notice advising that it had received enough donations, and wishes the very best to all those injured or affected by the blast.
