  • Submitted by: Dean Lockhart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 07 September 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01078

That the Parliament congratulates Coorie Creative, which is based in the Stirling Thistles Centre, on being awarded £10,000 in National Lottery Awards for All funding; acknowledges that the group is a not-for-profit organisation that runs a weaving studio from a store in the Centre and is an authorised dealer for Ashford and Louet, selling a range of its own knitting kits; recognises that it has a social mission to get people from across the region knitting for good causes; understands that it will use the award to help efforts to provide therapeutic craft activities to people in Stirling who are socially isolated and have experienced trauma in their lives, and wishes the charity the best of luck with this project and its other work.
