The Greyhope Bay Project

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 13 July 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00649

That the Parliament welcomes the Greyhope Bay team’s community effort, in partnership with JCE Energy and others, to establish Torry Battery in Aberdeen as a destination through ambitious plans to create an educational and community space, a dolphin spotting area and a café, The Liberty Kitchen, at the site; understands that The Liberty Kitchen, which will open in full later this year, will run a series of taster weekends throughout July and August to allow visitors to sample from its food and drinks van; notes that Greyhope Bay will also host preview tours and scavenger hunts for visitors to learn about Torry Battery's heritage and the surrounding natural beauty and wildlife; commends all of the team at Greyhope Bay for their work, and wishes them continued success in the next phase of their opening plans.
