That the Parliament welcomes the decision of the Children and Families Committee of Dundee City Council to build a primary school for the Western Gateway; understands that this school was promised to residents prior to their homes being purchased; commends the Western Gateway Community Group for what it sees as its tenacious fight in the face of years of denial and delay; welcomes the commitment of the committee convenor to target an opening date in 2025, and calls on the Scottish Government to work to deliver the new Learning Estate Investment Programme (LEIP) funding process as soon as possible so that a capital application can be made.
