Aberdeen City Council, the UK’s Best Local Authority

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen City Council on being named Local Authority of the Year at the MJ (Municipal Journal) Achievement Awards 2020; understands that it was the only Scottish authority to be shortlisted for the prestigious award, which celebrates achievements in local government, including sound financial stewardship and strong performance in major services and innovation; notes that Aberdeen is also the only Scottish authority nominated for the Council of the Year title at the LGC (Local Government Chronicle) Awards 2020, which will be announced in October, and thanks all the team at Aberdeen City Council for their hard work and continued success.
