That the Parliament congratulates Graeme Galbraith on being recognised by governing body Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Scotland for his efforts at Royal Gourock Yacht Club (RGYC), where cadet numbers have doubled during his tenure as a volunteer; understands that Graeme received RYA Scotland’s Impact Award, which aims to shine a light on people who are working to develop the sport; notes that Graeme was nominated for his involvement in the cadet programme for RGYC after transforming it and bringing vital leadership in his role as cadet convenor, which he has held since 2019; appreciates that Graeme’s commitment has led to the programme consistently being oversubscribed, with over 45 cadets being involved; commends Graeme and all those at RGYC for the work they put in to support young people to get involved in sailing and other outdoor activities, and wishes the club, and Graeme, all the best for the future.
