  • Submitted by: Paul Sweeney, Glasgow, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 28 March 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12692

That the Parliament congratulates Bernard Ponsonby on his retirement after a formidable career in political broadcasting; recognises what it sees as his steadfast dedication to holding those in power to account; notes his remarkable 34-year-long career with STV, during which time he covered the devolution debate in the 1990s, the Scottish Parliament since its establishment a quarter-century ago, as well as six First Ministers and their cabinets, and wishes him well in his future journalistic endeavours.
