That the Parliament commends The Book Nook in Stewarton, East Ayrshire, on being honoured as Independent Bookshop of the Year for Scotland, at The British Book Awards 2024; understands that the bookshop owner, Sarah Frame, was shocked to win as she was shortlisted twice before in 2021 and 2022; notes that Sarah runs a jam-packed calendar full of free events, such as book clubs for all ages where you will get a free drink and author signings, which keeps the community support thriving; considers that the wonderful work that Sarah does to engage adults and children of all ages in reading is a truly wonderful achievement, and sends a massive well done to The Book Nook.
