McKinstry Company Raises £1,000 for RNLI Girvan Lifeboat

  • Submitted by: Elena Whitham, Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 20 March 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12580

That the Parliament applauds the McKinstry Company’s office in Girvan for raising £1,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) Girvan Lifeboat; understands that this money was raised by offering clients a free will in return for offering a donation of at least £50 to the RNLI; considers that running an RNLI lifeboat station comes with a considerable cost, and that this money from the McKinstry Company will go to keeping the station operational and ready to save lives at sea; thanks the McKinstry Company for this initiative, which contributes to the local community, and commends the RNLI, which, it understands, has saved 146,277 lives since its founding 200 years ago.
