Kilmarnock Academy Gains STEM Recognition

That the Parliament congratulates Kilmarnock Academy, and science teacher, Louise McAdam, on becoming the first school in Ayrshire to achieve the STEM Nation Award from Education Scotland; understands that Louise led Kilmarnock Academy’s STEM submission, which demonstrated the exceptional work taking place within all five elements of the award; further understands that this work includes the delivery of science clubs during lunchtime and after school, including a Lego club, CAD/CAM club, train club and maths problem-solving club; commends the outstanding work that the science faculty and the school as a whole have carried out for the last three years, and congratulates Kilmarnock Academy once again on this fantastic achievement.
