Renfrew High Pupils Bring Christmas Joy to Care Home

  • Submitted by: Paul O'Kane, West Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 08 January 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-11782

That the Parliament understands that pupils from Renfrew High School brought some Christmas joy to residents of Craigielea Care Home by delivering Christmas hampers during December 2023; further understands that the pupils who undertook this generous task belong to the Renfrew High’s Flexible Learning Resource, which was established in 2017 to support pupils from S1 to S3 who have social, emotional and behavioural challenges; notes that the residents of Craigielea Care Home include adults over the age of 65, and young and older people with varying physical disabilities and mental health problems, and celebrates that they were gifted Christmas hampers; notes that one particular Renfrew High School pupil, Rhyanna, sang for the residents during the visit, and believes that the visit and gifts from the Renfrew High School pupils is a great example of the kindness and generosity that appears at Christmas.
