Prestwick Airport's Third Year in Profit

That the Parliament congratulates Prestwick Airport on recording a profit for third year running; applauds the £1.2 million profit for the year until March 2022; understands that total turnover for TS Prestwick Holdco LTD during the financial year 2021-22 was nearly double the previous year at £35 million; considers that the airport is a vital part of the Ayrshire economy, and the wider Scottish economy, by contributing £61.6 million annually and by supporting more than 4,500 jobs at the airport and the surrounding aerospace cluster; understands that passengers numbers in the year to March 2022 were at 118,000, and are expected to rise in the current financial year, cargo volumes rose by 36% to 18,000 tonnes and fuelling was up 89% at 36 million litres; thanks management and staff for their hard work, and wishes the airport every success for the future.
