Tribute Concert Raises Over £3,000 for Maggie's Forth Valley

  • Submitted by: Stephen Kerr, Central Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 06 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05838

That the Parliament congratulates those who organised a special tribute concert at Grangemouth Town Hall to raise £3,333 for Maggie's Forth Valley; understands that this concert was held in memory of Ian Wallace, a musician from Denny who sadly passed away recently; further understands that Maggie's Forth Valley was founded by Maggie Keswick Jencks, in 1996, who used her own experience of having cancer to create a new type of cancer care, and recognises the critical role that Maggie's Forth Valley continues to play in providing one-to-one help to enable people to join groups and activities that are right for them.
