Question
To ask the Scottish Government how many cases of fabricated or induced illness (FII) have been reported in each NHS board area in each of the last five years.
Answer
This is a matter for the NHS. The information requested is not held centrally. The Scottish Government published updated National Child Protection Guidance in 2023 which includes practitioner guidance on fabricated or induced illness.
