Question

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on the COVID-19 legislation that is in place.

Answer

Amending Regulations have today been made to the Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions and Requirements) (Local Levels) (Scotland) Regulations 2020, which will move East Lothian from Level 3 to Level 2 of the Strategic Framework with effect from 6:00 am on 24 November 2020.

The Regulations have been published at https://www.gov.scot/publications/health-protection-coronavirus-restrictions-and-requirements-local-levels-scotland-amendment-no-4-regulations-2020/ .

Unfortunately there has been an increase in case numbers and test positivity in Midlothian over the last few days. In view of this, the clinical and public health advice is that it would not be appropriate to move to Midlothian to Level 2 at this time, this decision will be kept under regular review.

Updated data and analysis will be published on www.gov.scot tomorrow as part of the weekly review of the levels allocation.
