Question

To ask the Scottish Government how it aims to achieve its target of 10% of everyday journeys being made by bike by 2020.

Answer

The Scottish Government published the third iteration of the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland on 17 January 2017. This document outlines how, in partnership with local authorities, Regional Transport Partnerships and third sector delivery partners, we will implement the 19 actions in the document to help achieve the shared vision of 10% of everyday journeys being made by bike by 2020. Also, the Programme for Government confirms our intention to maintain record levels of funding for active travel for the term of this Parliament.
