Question
To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with the European Commission regarding its review of the birds and habitats directives.
Answer
Scottish Government officials contributed to the formulation of the UK Government’s response to the evidence gathering phase of the European Commission ‘Fitness Check’ exercise, including involvement in a workshop held when commission officials visited the UK as part of their evidence gathering.
