Question
To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with Southern Cross Healthcare regarding its financial situation.
Answer
Scottish Government Officials met with Jamie Buchan, Chief Executive Officer of Southern Cross, on 29 March 2011 and then again on 18 April 2011. At both meetings representatives of COSLA and the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Agency were present. We are monitoring the ongoing situation with Southern Cross closely.
