Question
To ask the Scottish Executive what the total cost was of the toll plazas and associated works on the Forth and Tay bridges prior to the 2007 election and what the total cost was of removing them.
Answer
Responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the Forth and the Tay Road Bridges, including any installation and removal of toll plazas and associated works, are matters for the Forth Estuary Transport Authority and the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board respectively.
