Question

To ask the Scottish Executive what authorities have responsibility for maintaining records of common land.

Answer

The information requested is not held centrally. All moveable and heritable common good assets which are the property of the local authority are accountable within the audited accounts of each local authority. Local authority accounts are subject to annual audits by Audit Scotland and these are accessible by law to any member of the public.
