Question

To ask the Scottish Executive what action is being taken to reduce incidences of antisocial behaviour among tenants in short-term or holiday lets.

Answer

Local agencies are using existing measures in the Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Act 2004 to reduce antisocial behaviour across all tenures, including among tenants in short-term or holidays lets. In line with our new  framework “ Promoting Positive Outcomes: Working Together to Prevent Antisocial Behaviour in Scotland (Bib. number 47915) “ such action should be proportionate, appropriate and timely and local action should focus on preventing antisocial behaviour occurring in the first place.
