As an amendment to motion S5M-14059 in the name of Ivan McKee (Scotland’s Role in the Development of Future UK Trade Arrangements), leave out from "UK Government" to end and insert "Scottish Government to set a deadline for Scottish stakeholders and other devolved administrations to respond to its paper and to develop a full, formal proposal rapidly afterwards; calls on the UK Government to engage at that point with the Scottish Government and the other devolved administrations to deliver a modern, inclusive process drawing on international best practice that ensures the interests and priorities of all parts of the UK are properly represented, protected and promoted, as in federal systems around the world, and considers that this process should not include a veto for any one administration around the UK, as this would be outwith international best practice, and that it should instead be underpinned by a robust dispute resolution process."
