The Buttony Bear Project Donates its 2,000th Furry Friend

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 08 January 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-15271

That the Parliament thanks Ballater-based charity, the Buttony Bear Project, which has donated 2,000 cuddly toys to children undergoing complex surgery since 2015; recognises that the furry toys have stoma bags that help children with stomas to feel less isolated following surgery; understands that the operations can often be traumatic and that these bears provide comfort; thanks the charity, and wishes it continued success in bringing happiness to young people.
