That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) on the success of Childminding Week 2017, which was a celebration of Scotland’s quality childminders; commends the work of SCMA in encouraging childminders to come together to raise the profile of what they do; notes the nationwide launch of the campaign, Protecting Professional Childminding in Scotland; believes that SCMA’s 4,600 members are a vital and valuable part of the funded early learning and childcare workforce, and commends the endeavours of SCMA in seeking the recognition of its members and its efforts to ensure that they are included as partner providers in the delivery of funded early learning and childcare.
