That the Parliament congratulates the Lothian Veterans Centre (LVC) in Dalkeith on receiving £66,000 from the European Social Fund; further congratulates the centre on its excellent work providing personal support for ex-service personnel and their families across Edinburgh and the Lothians; notes that the funds will be used to run LVC’s drop-in centre five days a week, where support, advice and a friendly face will always be on offer; further notes the serious challenges that veterans face daily while seeking employment and housing, and while integrating back into civilian life; extends its deepest sympathies and support to all those who find themselves in these situations; thanks everyone at LVC for developing new outreach efforts that extend its support for veterans throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians; commends its high-quality work and dedication to the community, and wishes the LVC every success in the future.
