Lanark in Bloom Retains Silver Gilt Award

That the Parliament congratulates Lanark in Bloom on retaining its Silver Gilt award from Beautiful Scotland in 2016; understands that Lanark in Bloom was established in 2004 to enhance the quality of life for the people of Lanark and surrounding areas; notes that the group has been involved in a number of projects and has enjoyed partnership working with the local council, primary schools and other community groups; commends the work that Lanark in Bloom has been doing alongside the Lanark Development Trust in the restoration of Castlebank Park in the town and to promote the rich heritage of the town, and recognises the hard work that is put into winning such an award by the volunteers involved.
