That the Parliament congratulates Amanda Allan, who is a science student at Greenock West College Scotland, on being named Student Citizen 2016 at the prestigious College Development Network Annual Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievements in Scotland’s 26 colleges; notes that Amanda is also working as a technician in the college's science labs and that her success means that this is the second successive year that a student from the college has won this award; considers Amanda to be a wonderful asset for the college and a true ambassador for science, and believes that she is a positive role model for her fellow students.
