  • Submitted by: Adam Tomkins, Glasgow, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 30 November 2016
  • Motion reference: S5M-02856

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow has taken delivery of a new MRI scanner worth £10 million, which it understands is the first of its kind in the UK; notes that this will help doctors see small parts of the brain that cannot be viewed with existing technology, and that this will improve doctors' knowledge of conditions such as Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis, and looks forward to patients in Glasgow and across Scotland benefiting from this advanced technology.
