That the Parliament notes that the sixth annual Drambusters Festival was held on 26 November 2016 at the Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries; further notes that the festival is organised by the Drambusters whisky club, which is run by Karen and Brian Gibson, who are the owners of the TB Watson wine and whisky shop in Dumfries; understands that the festival accommodates over 700 visitors who can experience tasting single malts and blends, as well as gin and rum, from Scottish distilleries and independent bottlers; welcomes the attendance at this year’s festival by the Annandale Distillery, one of Scotland’s youngest distilleries, which will have a three-year-old malt ready in the autumn of 2017, and wishes the organisers and participants at Drambusters well for future festivals.
