Izzy Gillespie, Young Food Train Volunteer

  • Submitted by: James Dornan, Glasgow Cathcart, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 29 November 2016
  • Motion reference: S5M-02829

That the Parliament congratulates 16-year-old Izzy Gillespie on her work volunteering for the Food Train in Glasgow; recognises that, on two days each week, Izzy leaves her home at 7.30 am before school to visit four or five shops to collect vital food supplies, which are then delivered to older people across the Mount Florida area, and believes that Izzy's commitment to her voluntary work provides a lifeline to many people and sets a fantastic example to other young people.
