2016 Greenock Gang Show, Greenock and District Scouts

  • Submitted by: Stuart McMillan, Greenock and Inverclyde, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 29 November 2016
  • Motion reference: S5M-02824

That the Parliament recognises the success of the 2016 Greenock Gang Show, which ran between 15 and 19 November in the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock; understands that the event celebrates the work of both the Greenock and District Scouts and their leaders throughout the last two years, and that proceeds from admission to the event benefit the Greenock and District Scouts; further understands that the proceeds from a special raffle, which raised over £3,000, are being donated to the fund for Andy Adams, who is a fire officer who was recently severely injured in the line of duty; applauds the Greenock and District Scouts for another exceptional show, and supports the Scout leaders, and the Scouting organisation as a whole, in their endeavour to expand the education and experiences of Inverclyde’s and Scotland’s youth.
