  • Submitted by: Ben Macpherson, Edinburgh Northern and Leith, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 29 November 2016
  • Motion reference: S5M-02819

That the Parliament congratulates everyone at Lothian Buses on its success at the UK Bus Awards 2016, at which it received the Putting Passengers First Bronze Award, which was sponsored by Euro Bus Expo, for developing and delivering creative solutions that it believes have both vastly improved the passenger experience and broke new ground in customer engagement and satisfaction; notes that the company also received the Silver Award for Top City Operator, which was sponsored by INIT Innovations, as well as the Exterion Media-sponsored Award for Sustained Marketing Excellence for its NightBus service; considers that this success is proof of an active, customer-focused marketing strategy that has been applied consistently over time, has driven business improvement, won extra journeys and captured new customers; thanks its staff for their work in providing an excellent service across the Lothians, and wishes them, and the company, well for the future.
