Nomination of John Miller for Britain's Best Volunteer

That the Parliament congratulates John Miller on being nominated for the Markel and Small Charities Coalition’s Britain’s Best Volunteer Award; recognises that his voluntary service as Scottish advocate for Action Duchenne has been highly commended by the organisation; applauds what it considers his tireless commitment to raising awareness of the rare form of muscular dystrophy known as Duchenne; considers that his dedication to supporting people who live with the condition and their families is exemplary and continues to make the most profound difference to the lives of many families across Scotland; understands that his hard work was instrumental in the creation of the Clinical Academic Fellowship aimed at increasing research capacity and clinical expertise for Duchenne muscular dystrophy in Scotland, and wishes John well as he continues to advocate on behalf of this worthwhile organisation and support people living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
