That the Parliament congratulates the Paisley Daily Express on winning the title of UK Regional Newspaper of the Year at the 2019 Newspaper and Magazine Awards, which took place on 9 May in London; understands that this award is the highest accolade within the newspaper and magazine publishing industry and was set up in order to recognise the brands, titles, teams and companies that have demonstrated not only an excellent level of journalism but the drive and persistence necessary to win; acknowledges that the Paisley Daily Express was named the winner for its superb local news performance, strong ties with the community and wide range of readership, and praises everyone involved in the writing, editing and publication.
