That the Parliament welcomes the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and its partners in launching Our Deer, a plan to place communities at the centre of efforts to manage deer on publicly owned land in Scotland; recognises what it sees as the need to comprehensively rethink deer management on public land, and considers that the stakeholders involved in this new vision for deer management in Scotland are well placed to advise the Scottish Government on addressing the issue.
