Congratulating Caroline Judge, Midwife of the Year Award Winner

  • Submitted by: Neil Bibby, West Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 11 April 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12779

That the Parliament congratulates Caroline Judge, Charge Midwife at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Maternity Unit in Paisley, on winning Midwife of the Year at the Mariposa Trust Awards 2024; notes that the Mariposa Trust is a charity that supports anyone who has been affected by the loss of a child in any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy, and that the Trust’s awards recognise medical professionals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide support for people affected, and believes that Caroline has exceeded her own role by introducing "sibling boxes" for affected brothers and sisters, with the support of various charities, and by her passion for providing follow-up care for women across Greater Glasgow and Clyde after they leave hospital.
