National Lottery Funding Awards for Two Groups Operating in Eastwood

That the Parliament congratulates two groups with operations in Eastwood on receiving awards of financial support from the National Lottery Community Fund; recognises that Mearns Kirk Helping Hands, which is a registered charity with the goal of enhancing wellbeing and tackling loneliness for older people, has received a sum of £120,000 to fund a project manager and volunteer coordinator over a three-year period to help with the maintenance and development of the group's programme of social activities to support older people; acknowledges that Bengali Performing Arts has been awarded a grant of £7,500 to arrange for two local multicultural performances and fund a summer coach trip; notes that the National Lottery Community Fund provides over £600 million each year to support communities throughout the UK, and welcomes the Eastwood funding awards for Mearns Kirk Helping Hands and Bengali Performing Arts.
