South Lanarkshire Carer, Debra Allison, Wins Lifetime Contribution Award

That the Parliament pays tribute to Debra Allison, unit manager with South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership, who was recently honoured with an outstanding lifetime contribution award from the Scottish Social Services Awards, which are hosted on behalf of the Scottish Government; understands that Debra currently works in David Walker Gardens residential care home in Rutherglen; further understands that she began her career as a carer at 17, and has progressed through the ranks over four decades; recognises what it sees as Debra’s unstinting devotion, commitment, compassion and support for residents and their families, as well as for her colleagues over the years, and thanks all of those who work in Scotland's social care sector.
