Celebrating Five Years of Data Drive Innovation at the University of Edinburgh

That the Parliament celebrates five years of Data Drive Innovation (DDI) at the University of Edinburgh; considers that DDI is a major part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal; supports the six data-driven innovation hubs at the Bayes Centre, Easter Bush Agritech Hub, National Robotarium, Edinburgh International Data Facility and the upcoming Edinburgh Futures Institute and Usher Institute; understands that DDI has surpassed its goals in course completions, research activity, and support for data-centric technology companies in 2022-23; supports DDI’s ambition to establish the City Region as a global hub for organisations that leverage data science to power their services, and congratulates the university on its successful first five years of DDI and its continued work in Edinburgh and the South East Scotland City Region.
