  • Submitted by: Murdo Fraser, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 01 March 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12367

That the Parliament congratulates Gleneagles Hotel on being named Hotel of the Year (Best Places to Stay in the UK) 2024 by The Times and The Sunday Times; notes that the Perthshire hotel was also named Scotland Hotel of the Year; further notes that the judges praised how its estate "weaves its heritage playfully through a stay, from the bars to the bedrooms, and yet the overall experience feels fresh, relevant and typified by exceptional service"; recognises that Gleneagles Hotel, which was originally hailed as the "Riviera of the Highlands", will celebrate its centenary in June 2024, and wishes everyone associated with Gleneagles Hotel all the best for the future.
