As an amendment to motion S5M-02410 in the name of Andy Wightman (Eviction of Tenant Farmers), leave out from "who it understands" to end and insert “, including Arran in Cunninghame North, who, it understands, are losing their tenancies as a result of actions by their landlords; notes with concern what it sees as the stress and insecurity that people, their families and employees are facing; acknowledges the previous and continued effort by the Scottish Government to provide a mediation service for the use of individual tenant farmers and their landlords to enable parties to discuss issues and explore solutions in private; recognises that agricultural tenancies are private contractual agreement between two parties, and notes the calls on the Scottish Government to do everything within its power to assist affected tenant farming families."
