About the Inquiry

Our attention has again been drawn to the vulnerability of asylum seekers and those with insecure immigration status following recent tragic events in Scotland.

We agreed at our meeting on the 4 September 2020 to write to a range of organisations to seek information on the support and assistance provided to individuals who have no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

We have issued the following correspondence:

A response has been requested from the UK Government by 13 October. We have requested a response from the other organisations we have written to by 9 October.

We will then consider all responses we have received on this matter.
