Current Status of the Bill
This Scottish Government Bill was introduced by the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Humza Yousaf MSP, on 30 May 2019. The Parliament has set 10 January 2020 as the deadline for the end of Stage 1 scrutiny.
The Justice Committee was designated the lead Committee for Stage 1 scrutiny.
The Committee launched its call for evidence on this Bill on Monday 1 July 2019.
