Joint Ministerial Committee

Joint Ministerial Committees (JMC), are meetings of Ministers from the UK and devolved governments.

The JMC, in its plenary form, is a meeting between the Prime Minister and the devolved First Ministers. There are also a number of sub-committees that meet to consider specific issues. The JMC (Europe) and JMC (Europe Negotiations) - both of which focus on relations with the European Union - are monitored by the Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Affairs Committee.

There is also joint working between junior Ministers in Ministerial Forum (EU Negotiations) meetings.

The Scottish Government has committed to provide details of these meetings as set out in the 'Written Agreement between the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government on Inter-Governmental Relations’

Correspondence the Committee has received, in 2018 and 2019, relating to these meetings is provided below. For correspondence from 2016 and 2017 please see the following link: CTEER Correspondence 2016/17.
