Joint Ministerial Committee

Overview

Joint Ministerial Committees (JMC) are meetings of ministers from the UK and devolved governments. The JMC, in its plenary form, is a meeting between the Prime Minister and the devolved First Ministers. There are also a number of sub-committees that meet to consider specific issues, including the JMC (Europe Negotiations) and the JMC (Europe). The Minister Forum (EU Negotiations) sits beneath and complements engagement at the JMC (EN), specifically in relation to UK positions for the EU-UK Future Relationship.

The Scottish Government has committed to provide details of these meetings to the Committee as set out in the below document: 'Written Agreement between the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government on Inter-Governmental Relations’

Correspondence the Committee has received in 2018 and 2019 relating to these meetings is provided below. For correspondence from 2016 and 2017 please see the following link: CTEER Correspondence 2016/17.
