Petition lodged by Andy Myles calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to make an urgent decision about the legal status of the two populations of European beavers in Scotland, and to extend the full protection of the law to the species.

The Committee considered the petition on 25 October 2016 and agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform on the petition.
31 January 2017
The Committee agreed to close the petition at its meeting on 31 January 2017. It also agreed to write to the Scottish Government to seek early sight of the strategic environmental assessment attached to forthcoming suborindate legislation.

Petition lodged by Caroline Hayes calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to i) review the role of the Drinking Water Quality Regulator and ii) commission independent research into the safety of the chloramination of drinking water.
