  • Should parental and familial alienation be recognised as a specific and serious form of pathological psychological child abuse?
  • Do frontline services require more training on recognising the signs of parental and familial alienation?
  • Should there be specific funding for early intervention referrals to specialised family practitioners?

Parents using their children against living and caring grandparents as pawns are creating adverse childhood experiences and trauma .

Parental alienation shouldn't be happening. No matter of gender.

a family member has been severely alienated from me, my family & friends. Nobody 'official' is the least bit interested - school made things worse. Social work say school will deal with it. GP has 'never heard of parental alienation'. It's horribly real & causing long-term term trauma to children...

There are good parents and bad parents: There are abusive men, There are abusive women, There are men who alienate, There are women who alienate, There are men that falsely accuse, There are women who falsely accuse, No wonder kids grow up with mental health problems! Its our job to stop the abuse

Children who are in an alienated position or who are at risk of this are very likely to want someone to intervene on their behalf.

Parental & Familial Alienation and Domestic Abuse including psychological coercive control of children by the abuser and third parties are intrinsically linked and the home and those closely connected to the child can be the very source and trigger for Children's Mental Health issues.
