I wrote to the Foreign Office to say that I find it surprising that one of the main drinks of the United Kingdom is not served when the Foreign Office holds receptions. It is a common problem. I do not know whether it is a question of cost, but all that I can do is encourage everyone, particularly here in Scotland, to ensure that at receptions—particularly official receptions—we serve our national drink.

I want to raise one point about Peter Peacock's letter on his meeting with Commissioner Barnier and structural funds. We are now approaching the n+2 time, which means that if we do not spend money within two years, instead of the money going back to the Treasury, it will go back to the European Union.
