To ask the Scottish Executive whether the healthy living campaign and supplemental programmes have been monitored and reviewed to ensure that people receive appropriate health improvement advice.
First of all, I define effective justice as justice that renders our communities safer, happier and better places to live in. Effective justice is about ensuring that the victims of crime are looked after.
He referred to the need to tidy up some issues. I hope that we live up to that aspiration. We would certainly not want legislation that was ambiguous or too draconian, or that created difficulties that local authorities felt that they could not manage.
However, I am conscious, as you will be, that we live in an increasingly open society in which people expect to see our leading figures account for what they do.
I will also mention one of my constituents, Jim McLaren, who also lives in Kirkintilloch. I am sure that many of the scouting representatives who are in the public gallery today will know him.
The action plan gives priority to developments for young people and children living with diabetes. That must mean better health outcomes for individual children.
