The budget continues to allow Accountant in Bankruptcy to ensure access to fair and just processes of debt relief and debt management for the people of Scotland, which takes account of the rights and interests of those involved.
Multiyear funding is important because, by providing long-term certainty, it lays the foundations on which a diverse range of Scotland’s key cultural organisations can build.
The Secretary of State for Scotland’s first contact on the bill was a letter on the night of 16 January informing us that he would be laying a section 35 order the next day.
I recognise that that is a consideration that many businesses, particularly small businesses and microbusinesses, have to take into account. I reiterate the importance of consultation and engagement and of local authorities being able to set out their understanding of the impact of introducing a levy, and how crucial all that is to ensuring that this sort of thing is taken into account.
As I clarified in my submission of the 11 October 2024 the survey was launched on 21 June 2024 and asked a total of 20 questions, 13 closed and 7 open, to allow respondents the opportunity to provide free and open text responses in relation to questions such as; what support would be helpful during a neonatal stay, what are the most important consideration that need to be taken into account when planning the new model and what feedback would you like to provide to SG on the new model.
