To ask the Scottish Government which local authorities have registered their interest in introducing the workplace parking levy. The Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 introduced a discretionary power for local authorities to implement workplace parking licencing (WPL) schemes.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will reconsider plans for the workplace parking levy, in light of concerns that it may place financial pressure on businesses as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other parties also need to consider their positions. The aim of the workplace parking levy—and maybe a levy on parking in other places, too—is to discourage the use of cars and get more people to use public transport.
Scottish Local Authorities Economic Development (SLAED) Progress: A supported employment proposal, which looks particularly at the Apprenticeship Levy, was taken to COSLA in 2018. The proposal is looking at ring-fencing approximately 5% of the total levy for learning disability employment.
Aggregate exported outside the UK is exempt from the UK Levy. 9. The Scotland Act 2016 empowered the Scottish Parliament to legislate for a devolved tax to replace the UK Levy.
